Seen and Not Heard

Children should be seen and not heard. Silence is a woman's best garment. Aren't proverbs great? But I'm done with being quiet.

Riding Again!

Hawk

That is Hawk, a very nice horse owned by a girl named Hilary. Hilary is probably half my age, which certainly made me feel old.

Stirrup

Hawk is quite a bit smaller than Anna's horses, but was the only horse big enough for me that my new teacher had available for less advanced riders.

Walk

Despite the slouch here, my instructor, Julie, did actually praise my posture.

Trot

Yup, trotting is still much harder than it was when I was a kid. Though a lot easier than when I started with Anna.

Trot2

Anyway, I'll be going back next week.

Can't end without a picture of the dog. This is Chaos.

Coolness. One of these days I may actually be able to get back on a horse myself. Razier is still too young to carry a rider, and Ash has gone to a trainer who specializes in mustangs. What was supposed to be a four week stint to break him to ride has lasted over two months now, so I guess he's a handful even for a specialist.

I've always wanted a horse of my own. Need to know a lot more about actually keeping one before I'd want to try it though... Then I'd have to worry about being able to afford it.
